Scandi country part 2

It’s getting on for 20 years since Norway’s Trine Rein made her breakthrough. After some considerable success in the mid 90s she went way, apparently to San Francisco. Anyway, she has just released her first album in 12 years, the country-ish Seeds Of Joy. I think calling it country music would probably offend a few country fans, but well, it’s Scandi country. And being Norwegian, there’s a bit of a bluesy feel about some of the tracks.

It’s an excellent album overall, with mainly original songs and just a couple of covers. Unfortunately it hasn’t sold very well. Silly Norwegians!

Here are a couple of my faves from the album: one uptempo, one ballad.

20 år! :-o Balladen klart best! Hørtes ut som noe som kunne vært på Anna Bergendahls album. Trino har en ok stemme når hun holder d litt nedpå. Når hun drar til for mye blir d bare gnålete.
