A Norwegian-Swedish collaboration here - and for me, one of the best songs of the year.
Vinni & The Vagabonds is the unlikely sounding solo project of Vinni from hip-hop/rap duo Paperboys. For his first “solo” single he has teamed up with Timbuktu, one of Sweden’s finest rappers, and produced this very infectious tune. In many ways it’s all a bit silly. But silly can often be good, and this is a case in point. And I’m sure there is a deep, deep meaning in the lyrics somewhere.
The Vinni & The Vagabonds album was a bit of a disappointment though, so we’ll politely ignore it and just Let The Monkey Out instead!
