Another of this year's greatest releases, this time from the Faroe Islands. I have to admit to not knowing very much about Faroese singers, but the stunning voice of Eivør Pálsdóttir has not escaped my attention. Previously known for a folksy, jazzy repertoire, her new album Larva definitely has more of a pop feel to it, although very much a haunting, ethereal kind of pop. Here is the lead single Undo Your Mind.

I assume she's the same class act who graced the 2003 Icelandic final with "Í nótt"?
With all its Merseymike connotations, "too good for Eurovision" is a phrase I hate to use, but...
