Vibeke Saugestad is one of Norway's most underrated singers. She shot to fame in the mid 90s fronting the group Weld, who released a couple of moderately successful albums. Since then, Vibeke has been involved in various projects and has also managed to release three solo CDs, none of which have sold as well as they should have. She may not be exactly ground breaking, but imho deserves more recognition for her jangly guitar-driven pop. Here is her latest single, He's Peculiar.07 October 2007

I could probably learn to love that, but it certainly doesn't hit me as brilliant right off the bat.
