Summer moved on

Before the musical autumn gets into full swing, it seems like it would be a good idea to have a look at some of the stuff that has been competing for attention with Rihanna and her wet weather protection in the last few months. Starting with a trio of Swedes.

Bearing in mind the date, it seems like a good idea to start with September, a singer known for her super catchy and danceable tunes. This is Can't Get Over.

Here's something not quite so obviously commercial, but none the less it was a huge hit. Dunka mig gul och blå was the debut single of Frida, no not her from Abba, but a 25-year-old from the south of Sweden.

And finally back to the super-commercial. Former Swedish Idol contestant Danny Saucedo's follow up to the equally annoyingly catchy Tokyo, Play It For The Girls. A future at Eurovision beckons, I'm sure.

While "Dunka mig gul och blå" is fantastic, I have to question the wisdom of choosing the September & Danny Saucedo tracks as your 'welcome back post'. Really.

PS: Welcome back!
