No arty farty love

Jangly is a word I keep coming back to at the moment. And here is another example of great jangly pop, this time from Denmark. Alphabeat are a five guys and a girl whose debut album has been selling rather well in their homeland the last couple of months. The general theme is hummable tunes, which is something I'm sure we can all appreciate. It's also perfect summer music, so here's hoping they get some airplay in other parts of the world in the next few months.

Here are the first two singles, 10,000 Nights of Thunder and Fascination.

And you can hear some more of them at their myspace.

This is sooooooo 80's. But it works, in its way.

Perhaps the Danes should just stick to this sweet, happy, bouncy stuff in general. They seem to be pretty good at it.
